How do I book someone to give a talk?

Please call during office hours – Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm – on 08443727499.

1. Do you make them yourself?

Our range are all handmade by the Madagascan people, using renewable sustainable materials, predominantly raffia. Small artisan units, or co-operatives produce the bags and they are imported into the UK through the Fairtrade Scheme.  To hear more, book Jane to give your group a talk  – on 08443727499.

2. Do you have a shop?

Madajazz has a sales showroom/office in Five Ash Down, E Sussex. Please call for an appointment to visit – 08443727499.  Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, or at other times by appointment.  Please call in advance for precise direction, Satnav is not accurate.

3. Are they waterproof?

Our range is all hand dyed using the roots of the plants found in Madagascar. If, for any reason, there is a transfer of colour, then after washing there should be no permanent damage. However, a waterproof spray is recommended (similar to that used on sofas) as this will ensure that the item, including any leather trim, is safeguarded as best possible. No guarantee can be provided.

4. How strong are they?

The baskets are double skinned and, as such, perhaps unexpectedly able to carry considerable weight, if required. No guarantees can be provided.
